Overview of Requirements |
|
Applicants must currently hold
and maintain the Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-R), or the Certified Advanced Addiction Counselor
(CAAC) credential, or the Certified Criminal Justice Professional
(CCJP)
or hold a specialty substance abuse credential in another professional discipline in the human services
field at the master’s level or higher to be eligible to apply for the Certified Clinical Supervisor
(CCS-R).

Experience |

The maximum degree
credit allowed is 4,000 hours toward the experience requirement. *Degree must be
in a behavioral health or related field from a regionally accredited institution
of higher learning.

Education- |
30
contact hours in clinical supervision (with a minimum of 6 hours
specific to Ethics and a minimum of 6 hours in each of the following
