Overview of Requirements
Experience- 4,000 hours, full- or part-time work providing services in a criminal justice setting with substance use disorder clientele.
Supervision - 200 hours of direct clinical supervision with direct interaction concerning scope of practice.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a major in criminal justice, social services, or related behavioral health/human services field. 200 total education contact hours.
Code of Ethics- Sign and adhere to the current MCBAP CCJP Code of Ethical Standards.
Residency - Must live or work within the State of Michigan fifty-one (51%) percent of the time.
Fee - Submit $150.00 non-refundable application fee.
Initial Certification – Once approved, the initial CCJP-M certification period will be for two (2) years.
